Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress

Pondered by = Christine =

A local musicals presented by Singapore Repertory Theatre in Esplanade Theatre from 8 Sep till end of the month.

Very well presented and utterly impressed by the stage tools used. The planning and the small tiny details were well taken care of.

Strong story on the myths of China’s Empress Dowager, especially the controversial death of her very own son.

It was said, "Having played to 60,000 people in 2003, the musical is Singapore’s most successful production to date. "

Not true!

Pondered by = Christine =

I was recently told by a zebra that the most creative moment of anyone is when you first open yr eyes coz when you sleep, yr subconcious mind is still working.

Einstein was so extreme on this that he hold a heavy ball in his hand abv a bucket by the bed whenever he sleeps so that when he does fall asleep, the ball would 'thud' him awake and he would jot down the first thing that comes to his mind.

However, speaking from personal experience, it is not true! I was woken up by a phone call early this morning (which I mistaken it as my alarm went off). For the first few minutes, I was so blur and sotong that it takes me a while of what we are talking, let alone who is calling!

Today started beautifully with a brief catch up on the phone from a very good fren overseas and ended fabulously with another good hearty talk with another good fren overseas too. We hvn't been talking and mtg in ages and yet, we manage to pick it up from where we last left it as. Simple things like this amazes me and leaves me smiling to my sleep. =)
